Phone: 252-670-8599

What Was Recalled

On June 16, 2022, Schneider Electric placed a recall of 1.4 million electrical panels stating the load center can overheat which can result in thermal burn and fire hazards.

This recall is for the Square™ D QO™ Plug-on-Neutral Load Centers which involves both the outdoor and indoor models as well as the original equipment manufacturer. These circuit breaker boxes, sold in gray in varying sizes, were manufactured between February 2020 and January 2022 with date codes between 200561 and 220233

The recall number is 22-159. In addition, circuit breaker boxes that have covers that were manufactured between December 2019 and March 2022 are also included in the recall.

Where Was It Sold

The recalled product was sold by authorized Schneider Electric distributors as well as hardware stores and home improvement stores both in store and online. This includes Home Depot, Lowe’s Hardware and Menard’s.

These products were available for purchase between February 2020 and January 2022 with a price range between $90 and $1,660.

How To Find The Code

If your load center is installed outdoors, you can find the manufacturing date code on the inside of the cover or door. It can also be on the box itself when the door is open.

For those centers that are indoors, you will need to find a qualified electrician who can locate the interior date codes. You can find the part numbers for the circuit breaker box covers on the inside of the electrical panel doors.
